Osmosis Scientific International Shipping & Export Policy
To support your growth as a premier manufacturer and exporter of precision laboratory glassware, this policy is designed to address the complexities of global logistics and compliance.
1. Export Compliance & Documentation
- Regulatory Standards: All shipments are accompanied by a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin to ensure smooth customs clearance.
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS): For specialized products, such as our Amber Reagent Bottles with specific iron-sulfur chromophore coatings, we provide SDS to verify the non-hazardous nature of the glass material during transport.
- Customs & Duties: International customers are responsible for any local import duties, taxes, or “Handling Fees” specific to their region.
2. Specialized Packaging for Glassware
- Triple-Layer Protection: We utilize custom-molded shock-absorbent inserts and double-walled industrial cartons to prevent breakage during long-transit sea or air freight.
- Sealing Protocols: Products featuring Standard Taper ($) joints are packed with protective sleeves to prevent ground-glass friction or “frozen joints” caused by pressure changes during flight.
3. Shipping Methods & Lead Times
- Air Freight: Recommended for high-precision items like Burettes and Volumetric Flasks to minimize handling time.
- Sea Freight: The most cost-effective solution for bulk orders of Reagent Bottles or heavy equipment like Hotplate Stirrers.
- Lead Times: Manufacturing and dispatch from our Haryana hub typically occur within 7–14 business days, with transit times varying by destination.
4. Damage & Insurance Policy
- Transit Insurance: All international shipments are insured against loss or damage.
- Claims Process: In the rare event of breakage, customers must report the issue with photographic evidence of the packaging and product within 48 hours of delivery.
- Replacement Guarantee: We will replace any item verified to have a manufacturing defect or transit-related breakage at no additional cost to the client.
5. Return of Used Laboratory Ware
- Strict Hygiene Requirement: To comply with international safety regulations, Osmosis Scientific cannot accept returns of used glassware that has been exposed to chemicals.
- Hazardous Residue Warning: We strictly prohibit the return of antique or used vessels that may contain residues like picric acid or heavy metals.
