Description
The Volumetric Pipette Class A from Osmosis Scientific is engineered for professionals who demand high-level analytical precision. Crafted from premium Boro 3.3 borosilicate glass, this bulb-style pipette offers the ideal combination of chemical inertness and mechanical strength. This unserialized version provides the exact same volumetric tolerances as serialized glassware, making it a cost-effective solution for laboratories that require Class A accuracy with batch-level traceability.
Available in a comprehensive range of capacities—including 0.5 ml / 1 ml / 2 ml / 3 ml / 4 ml / 5 ml / 6 ml / 7 ml / 8 ml / 9 ml / 10 ml / 15 ml / 20 ml / 25 ml / 30 ml / 40 ml / 50 ml / 100 ml—each pipette is designed with a single, permanent graduation mark. The “To Deliver” (TD) calibration ensures that the liquid volume discharged meets stringent international standards, provided the instrument is handled according to standard laboratory protocols.
To facilitate efficient laboratory management, each pipette features standardized color coding for rapid volume identification. The markings are applied using a durable, high-contrast stain that withstands rigorous cleaning and autoclaving without fading. The specialized bulb design ensures a stable grip and controlled suction, which is essential for the precise handling of reagents and samples.
Specifically designed for pharmaceutical testing, clinical research, and industrial quality control, the Osmosis Scientific Class A Pipette delivers reproducible results and long-term service life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Class A signifies that the pipette is manufactured to the highest accuracy standards (e.g., ISO 648 or ASTM E694). It has the tightest volume tolerances and is designed to provide the most reliable liquid delivery for quantitative analysis.
- Serialized: Each pipette has a unique identification number etched on the glass, matching a specific individual calibration certificate.
- Unserialized: The pipette meets the exact same Class A accuracy standards but does not have a unique ID number. It is typically accompanied by a Batch Certificate, confirming that the production lot met all required specifications.
For labs requiring NABL-certified glassware, we recommend our Class A Serialized range. However, for most analytical and research applications, the Class A Unserialized batch-certified pipette is more than sufficient.
- Fill the pipette slightly above the mark using a pipette filler.
- Wipe the exterior of the tip.
- Set the meniscus at eye level.
- Allow the liquid to drain while the tip touches the side of the inclined receiving vessel.
- Wait for the stipulated delivery time (usually marked on the glass) to allow the film to drain.
- Do not blow out the last drop; these are calibrated “To Deliver” (Ex).
